Algebra Summer Camp 2k25

Algebra Summer Camp 2k25 will be offered LIVE every Monday from June 16th through July 28th. The Morning Class is offered from 10am-11:30am and the afternoon course is offered 1pm-2:30pm. Students who miss the live session can view the archived Zoom session posted online by Tuesday morning.

Clients who purchase the Camp with the 1:1 weekly checkins will be sent a link to sign up for 8 half-hour 1:1 sessions. Clients will have the option of choosing a 1:1 time to fit their student's schedule.

Why Multiple Price Points?

Bottom Line: I wanted to design an Algebra Summer Camp that was affordable to everyone. My original intention was to charge a starting fee of $200 and a complete package of $400 to include the eight tutoring sessions. However, I am trying this model to make this course as accessible to parents as possible (while still paying my electric bill!). Also, being a "one man band" allows me to operate with very little overhead. Let's see how this works!

What Are Students Going to Learn?

This summer camp is intended for any student who is on their way to Pre-Algebra or Algebra. This will not be a remedial class, and it will also not be a comprehensive preview of all of Algebra. Instead, we will zoom in to the foundation algebraic concept of a function, and we will do it in a way your student has never seen. Instead of rote math, I will introduce students to the concept of a Function Flow Chart. These Function Flow Charts will give students a deep yet common sense understanding of a function, as well as how to use function thinking to solve equations, graph functions, and understand transformations of functions. We will explore the squared function, absolute value function, linear function, and others. Most of all, this will be a lively, interactive, good time that will have your students properly oriented to Algebra 1.
